Operation Christmas Child

imageNMBC has supported Operation Christmas Child for many years asking members and regular visitors to fill shoeboxes with gifts which will go to a centre where they are processed before being sent to children in the poorest regions of the world.

NMBC will be collecting shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child again this year (2020).

We have go-boxes and leaflets available for you to pick up from the church office. They are on the cupboard next to the photocopier and free of charge. Please let Sue know when you are coming down to the church to pick them up. If you are not able to find a time to pick them up please let [hidden] know.

This year everything has to be done as remotely as possible. If you are not able to get to the shops you can pack a box online. Follow this link: https://shoeboxonline.samaritans-purse.org.uk/

OCC are encouraging us all to pay online for our boxes. Otherwise cash has to be quarantined for 72 hours before it can be processed - due to COVID-19 restrictions. Also by paying online you can request to know which country your box has gone to. Please make sure to place the bar code in the box.

There are lots for packing ideas and resources on the OCC website, please take a look.

There are also a number for craft ideas as well. Customs restrictions have changed and you can now include homemade toys.

Please bring your filled shoebox back to the church no later than 16th Nov. Currently we are placing them on the stage at the front of the church as we normally do.
